The current version
Core town progress is saved on your device. Online accounts and social features use a separate service. Native Sign in with Apple, iCloud, Game Center, payments, and advertising are not enabled in the current development build. The descriptions below distinguish those optional integrations from information the online service already supports.
Accounts and Sign in with Apple
A guest account uses a randomly generated device credential; the server stores its hash, an account identifier, your chosen display name, friend code, join/activity times, and online reward balance. Credentials and session tokens are used to sign you in and protect your account.
When Sign in with Apple is available and you choose it, Apple supplies an app-specific user identifier. Apple’s response may also include an optional email address or private relay address. The current account service validates the sign-in response and keeps the Apple user identifier; it does not retain the email claim or identity token. Linking Apple preserves your existing online island and friendships.
Your island and social content
Uploading an island sends a presentation snapshot of its stage, building/decor layout, residents, and a small thumbnail. This is separate from your full private save and excludes your inventory and private currency balances. Your display name and uploaded island may be shown to other signed-in players, including in discovery and featured lists, subject to blocks.
The service stores friend connections, likes, help actions, fixed gifts, online reward records, and postcards you choose to send. Postcard images and selected stickers are available to the sender and recipient, subject to blocks, and can be reviewed when necessary to handle a report. The game has no free-text chat.
Display names have format and word filters. Authorized operators can review player reports and restrict abusive accounts; there is no automatic image moderation. Please report or block unwanted behavior in the game.
Private saves and Apple services
Local saves and settings stay on your device unless you choose a supported sharing or cloud feature. When native iCloud saving is enabled, your complete private save is sent to your Apple iCloud container, separately from the social server. You choose which save to keep when a conflict is detected. The desktop cloud-save demonstration is only a local simulation.
If you use an enabled Game Center integration, Apple handles your Game Center identity, achievements, and submitted leaderboard scores under its own privacy policy. This is separate from Cloudhaven’s weekly island ranking. Native Apple services are still awaiting integration in the current build.
When purchases are enabled, Apple handles payment and billing. Cloudhaven does not receive your card number. Purchase or subscription identifiers, verification data, and entitlement records may be needed to deliver and restore purchases. Real purchases are currently disabled; the current social API does not collect StoreKit receipts.
Advertising, tracking, and permissions
The current build contains no active advertising SDK, advertising-identifier access, or third-party analytics. Rewarded-ad demonstrations are simulations and do not show real ads. There are no forced ads in the current design.
If optional rewarded advertising is added, this policy will be updated with the provider and its actual data practices before activation. Any tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, or access to the advertising identifier, requires Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. Watching a reward video is a separate choice from allowing tracking; refusing tracking must not reduce the promised reward.
Device quality settings are calculated locally. The game does not request contacts, location, camera, or microphone access. Saving a game photo to Photos or enabling local notifications uses the relevant permission only when you choose that feature and the native integration is available.
How information is used and shared
We use account and gameplay information to provide login, visits, friendship, deliveries, rankings, support, and abuse prevention. The online service uses network IP addresses and account/device-credential hashes for rate limiting and security. We do not use these records to infer your location.
Information is shared with other players only as described above, with service providers needed to operate the service, or where legally required. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising in the current build. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever information you include.
The planned hosting region for the online game service is the United States. Connecting from another country will transfer online data there when that service is available. Apple processes its services under its own privacy policy.
Retention
Account profiles, the latest island snapshot, friendships, blocks, and reports remain while the account exists unless removed earlier. Pending gifts and rewards remain until claimed or the account is deleted. Default cleanup removes postcards after 7 days, claimed gifts/rewards after 30 days, daily help/use records after about 2 days, and identifiable like records after 8 weeks. Older aggregate like totals can remain without a player identifier. Expired login challenges and rate-limit records are periodically removed.
The operational retention targets are 7 days for service logs and 30 days for remote backups. These hosting settings still require production confirmation. A deleted record may remain in a restricted backup until that backup rotates; a restoration must reapply subsequent account deletions. Support correspondence has no automated deletion schedule in the game; contact us to request its removal.
Your choices and account deletion
You can change your display name, remove friends, block players, and choose whether to upload or send content. In the game, open Settings → Delete Online Account and confirm to request permanent deletion of your online account and associated island/social records. Successful deletion invalidates the online session.
Deleting the online account keeps the local town save and any private iCloud save. It does not cancel an Apple subscription or revoke Sign in with Apple authorization. Manage subscriptions and Apple authorization in your Apple account settings, and manage private cloud copies through iCloud storage settings when available. If you cannot access the game or need help with a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion, contact us. We may need to verify account ownership.
Children, website, and changes
Cloudhaven is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
This static website uses no cookies, local storage, trackers, analytics, externally hosted fonts, or embedded advertising. Its hosting provider necessarily receives network requests such as your IP address to deliver pages. Following an external link takes you to that provider’s own policy.
